Thanks Noam ,but I have a doser system,and newly potted plants usually get hand watered for the first month or so, then I switch to automatic feeding. But I was wondering if there was a fertilizer I could use to help establish the roots in their new home for that first month.

שלום לכולם, תמיד הרגשתי כי יש הרבה אי ודאות (בנסוח עדין) בנושא דישון, להלן כתבה המבססת הרגשה זו. אני מדשן את כל העצים באותה מידה בהתאם לעונות השנה גם מיד אחרי העתקה. טיפ נוסף, לאחר העתקה נהוג להשרות את הכלי במיכל מים להוצאת האויר, כדאי להוסיף למים אלו תכשירם שונים לביסוס השורשים, המפורסם שבהם הוא SUPERTHRIVE (חפשו בגוגל) ואחרים שאינם זולים, בלשון המעטה, מסתבר שהמרכיב העיקרי הוא ויטמן B1 אותו ניתן לרכוש ללא מרשם בבית מרקחת בעלות מיזערית. השנה השתמשתי ב - B1, 100מ"ג ל-10 ליטר, והתוצאות כנראה מצוינות. בהצלחה, משה.

זהירות עם "פרות קדושות"
אולי בכל זאת יש בהן מידה של קדושה.
גם מחבר המאמר שהעלית מציג את הדברים בלשון זהירה ולא פסקנית: I think..I belive. כפי שלעיתים על מחקר מדעי אחד ניתן למצוא מחקר סותר, גם בנושא זה אנשי בונסאי חלוקים. JHON NAKA בספריו גורס שאין לדשן עד חודשיים לאחר העתקה. לא הייתי מבטל את דבריו, אבל אני בהחלט מסכים שיש לבחון את הדברים מחדש כל העת. מנסיוני אמנם אף עץ לא מת כתוצאה מדישון לאחר העתקה, אבל הרושם שלי הוא שהדישון יצר עבורו קושי נוסף ומיותר שלא זיהיתי בעצים שלא דושנו בנסיבות דומות. לא ביצעתי מחקר מסודר בנושא ואפילו לא קבוצות דגימה. אז אולי זו באמת סוגייה השווה עוד בדיקה.
אולי בכל זאת יש בהן מידה של קדושה.

ככל שזה נוגע לעיצוב, וגם לחוש ההומור ה"בונסאי" שלו, אבל כדאי היה לציין מתי נכתבו ספריו - חלק א' ב - 1973 חלק ב' 1982. מאז זרם הרבה דשן, הייתי שמח ללמוד מי מאיתנו שומר בקפדנות גם על שאר כללי הדישון שלו, סוג הדשן ומועדי הדישון, או שאנו בוחרים רק כללים מסוימים? ככלל אני תמיד נזהר מקביעות פסקניות וכללים ש"ירשתי" ולא בדקתי, יחד עם זאת חובה על כל מגדל ללמוד מנסיונו, בהתאם לסוג העץ, סוג המצע, אזור אקלימי והרגלי ההשקיה. באותו עניין, גם המגדלים שממליצים לא לדשן במשך חודשים, ממליצים להוסיף דשן בשחרור איטי,"אוסמוקוט", בעת הכנת מצע הגידול, האם הדשן "יודע" לחכות חודשים? משה.

" Since many years I tend to treat collected or repotted trees very much like all the rest concerning watering and feeding. I water a lot every day and fee about every ten days to two weeks. Whener feeding time ccmes around again I feed everything, including collected stuff. And it works well. Sure, a few trees don't make it, but I am pretty certain that feeding wass NOT the reason. Why would I ignore conventional bonsai wisdom? Because I think it is partially a myth. A recently transplanted tree that stands in a lot of rooting substrate (soil) will only occupy a rather small part of that substrate. If feed is used, and here I speak mainly of chemical feed, then it is washed into the whole substrate area. Since the tree will take water enriched with "'feed' ('minerals' is a much better word for it) only from the area he occupies, a lot of 'feed' will stay in the substrate and eventually salts will build up so much that the substrate becomes poisinous. This is ONLY true if you water these trees LITTLE or not at all. If you water them aggressively, the salt will get washed out at almost every watering. In addition I must add that I use very well draining substrate. It gives me a good feeling to know that the largest nurseries that grow forest trees in plastic cans by the millions seem to do the same thing. Another bonsai myth uncovered. Please only feed your newly dug trees immediately if you think you have understood the whole concept. If only one parameter is wrong evrything will be wrong.
