Okay, it doesn't reach as far as all of you do, but it's just one guy's 10 favourite bookshops. You may add your own favourite if it's not on the list. My own favourite bookshops that aren't on here, have long disappeared from Hampstead in London, to be replaced by branches of Gap, and other chainstores. There is a huge Waterstones on Hampstead High Street now, and at least that's a bookshop, but there used to be independent bookshops, with idealistic owners, well-read, original, political. The Hampstead of my childhood and youth, the Hampstead of my socialist, bohemian and intellectual grandparents, with the cafe where people played chess all day - now a Pizza Hut...
