flying high with U.L.

U.L.`s are limited in Italy to 500` on weekdays and 1000` in the weekend, but nobody, let alone me, is a low-abiding pilot.. Today was very hazy, visibility was hardly 1 nm with the sun and half as much against the sun. I flew up-up-and-away, and at 2000` I broke into a clear weather, almost unlimited visibility, with a white sea under me and the Alps to the north and the Appenini to the south towering above the haze. At 2000` I could still see the ground, though very vaguely ZeevRozenek,Modena,Italy..

VFR, David

It`s a VFR, naturally, with an UltraLight. I have never lost eye-contact with the ground totally., and yes, it was a real thrill, but I do it quite ofen. Living and flying next to the Appenini mountains, I sometimes go up to 7000`, and once I flew at 8000` over the clouds, , with sky 4/4 scattered, so I could still see the ground.
