Fly-in in Pisa (ITALY)

Today, Sunday 9/29 there was a fly-in in a small airfield east of Pisa, in Toscana. This airfield is only some 110km.s from my airfield, but across the Appenini mountains, where the ridge reaches 2000m and more. Unfortunately, and contrary to the meteo forecast, the ridge was covered by cloudes so we (4 airplanes, all ultralights)climbed to 8,000 to cross the ridge with eye-contact with the ground here and ther. The main event of this fly-in was (supposed to be ) WOMEN PILOTS . Regret to say, there were only five (5) women and 105 men - luckily the lunch, served in the hangar for the token sum of 10 Euro included good wine (in Italy pilots DO drink and fly) The planes flying with me wer: EuroFox (mine) ,P-92, Yuma (an improved version of Savvanah) and I.C.P. Amigo. On the way back, we encountered strong headwinds of 25knots which have almost doubled our flight time. By the way, while cruising at 8,000 I switched to Pluto, just to try, and heard somene singing Bat-Sheva Bat-Sheva, so NOW I know it`s Reuven Nissan. Have a nice week all of you ZeevRozenek, Modena, Italy

Reply to Reuven Nissan

Hi Reuven of the 5 women pilot was over 75, a retired Alitalia pilot. Other 2 came with their husbands, and the last 2 were not worth looking at, so I didn`t take any photo`s, though I did take some on the route, but it takes me 2 to 3 months to finish the film. I am still using an old, steam-powered camera. And yes, I did enjoy hearing you singing... ZeevRozenek, Modena, Italy
