First report from London
Hey, no hebrew so this will have to do. Out of the country for three weeks now but only one week living in London. I am on a low budget for now and London is sooooooooooo pricy. However, if you look good enough (and time is one resaurce I have plenty for the first time in my life!!!), there are lots of good value for money to find here.
TAPEO One of my favorites in Israel and found one in London aswell under the same name. a small, real sweet tapas bar. located just oposite Belsize Park tube station (Northern line, zone 2, 2 stns after Camden town and 2 stns before Golders Green). The "shos" is that 11:00-17:00 weekdays they charge half price - order one get the other for free!!! so yesterday, three of us, had: spanish tomato bread lamb chops in garlic, herbs and olive oil mushrooms and jamon in garlic and olive oil breadcrumbed pork and melted cheese fried calamare rings fried sardines Tapeo salad (tuna, asparagus, artichokes etc.) lemon tarte chocolate cake soft drinks alltogether, incl. generouse tip - 30 quid means 80 shekel pp mind you, these are so not the prices here....
BELGO just found out they have beat the clock 18:00-20:00 weekdays havn't tried them yet but will soon. also found an interesting Japanese lunch boffet - hoping to report soon besides that - lots of chinese, indian and carebean takeout or small places. Having fun here!
