Helo gnu! A few things : 1. the rm7 cannot be converted to 9” travel at the back in no way! Rocky produced the rm9 a year ago but it was discontinued and the word is that the rm7 will also be disc’ next year (only a rumor). I personally realy like this bike and I think no one needs more than that (7”) to do drops , single tracks and a little dh ( the rm7 is a fr machine and we realy don’t have in Israel any real dh courses so it will do well in every place I can think of). 2. there r many other options that u can look at – sc bullit , azonic recoil , norco shore and so on.if u r locked on the rm7 it is fine , if u r locked on a 9” travel bike , than my friend u have a problem (the only model in Israel that I can think of is the sc v10 = mucho $$$$$$$ and I realy don’t think that u need that much trave !!!!). 3. as for the bighit , I own one and u r right , there is a problem wirh the 24” but for me it is o.k .I adjusted my riding for it- to each his own! 4. last thing – money , u will need a lot of it for any of the mentioned bikes. That’s it , I hope I helped and if my b.s isn’t clear enough ask me again and again and……… ILFREERIDER
