English at Israel's service

Cngratulations on opening a new forum of English language. I am sure it will immensely contribute to people who study or love English. One of the things this forum can do is to mobilize Israeli highschool students for the purpose of making Israel's case around the world. Every highscool English teacher can ask his pupils to prepare a letter in English that wiil describe the life of an average Israeli teenager under the threat of terror. The best written letters will be sent to the media, public and cultuaral institutions in Europe, usa, and other areas. Such a project can have an enormous effect, since many people around the world know little or nothing about the people of Israel, and their only source of inoformation comes from the media, which in many cases is baised against Israel. I remember a case of an Israeli girl who sent a letter to her friend in England, describing the fficulties of living in terror-stricken country. The letter reached an English newspaper Whiche gave it publicity. Thw feedback it received was immeasurable. If this forum can push this project by turning to English teachers or the Israeli education ministry on this issue, that will be a blessed step.

Err... I don't think it's our job

Actually, this forum is based more on english students than on english teachers. Furthermore, I'd like to indicate to you that some of our members believe that English Teachers in Israel are quite a shame for the trade. Allow me also to remind you that now, when a state of Cease Fire exists, making propoganda is not the smartest of the possible moves. I suggest that, if so important to you, You should download a list of all schools in Israel and mail them your request yourself. And one last thing. When posting a comment, do try to check your spelling. I find it embarassing that a letter written with so many spelling mistakes and certain possible typos offers to judge which letter in english is better than another. Rogue
