Indeed, that is exactly what I am saying. And since you have to present a valid federal ID (like a driver's license) at the registration desk, you cant really bypass this. Look, if you really want to get in without paying and you have the nerve, you could try the following. It doesnt always work, but the upside is that you cant really get hurt doing this, just a little embarassed. It goes like this: come to the show towards the later part of the day (around or after lunchtime), and hang around the exit doors. Make sure you are dressed well, and present yourself above your age. Have a folder or something in your hands. Then catch someone coming out and engage them in conversation. What you want is for them to give you their guest pass instead of throwing it when they get back to their hotel. Tell them that you forgot your pass and you simply have to get in to run an interview (or something). Just sound convincing - most people coming out will already have had their fill of the show and would be glad to get rid of you and go about their business. A little social engineering will get you anywhere. Btw, your chances improve considerably on the last day. Its not perfect, but it works, if you have the guts for it. An accent can play in your favor, since you can pass yourself as, say, a foreign journalist representing an obscure magazine in Finland. You'll still need the driver's license though, and there I cant help you. Btw, this isnt outrageous - remember that E3 is a trade event, NOT a public event. I honestly dont think you'd enjoy it even if you got in.
