Dror=Dornier in Hel-Haavir

Yesterday someone wrote that the Dornier was a poor choice. I would like to ask the experts, do you mean the single D-27 or the twin D-28, and why was it considered an unsuccessful plane. In UK and in Spain the D-27, called CASA 127 is considered a good airplane. awaiting your reply, the meek and the humble ZeevRozenek,Modena,Italy

Dornier - ground loops

Anybody with some experience on tail draggers can tell you that during ground roll, once you lose rudder control, the tail-wheel tends to turn right or left, and you have to be a good dancer to keep it on track. If you don`t react fast enough, the tail-wheel in some planes tends to behave like the wheel in the Supermarket trolly, and when you lose control, the planes just turns around, sometimes even dropping a wing. As far as I know, there are many DO-27 flying in Germany, in UK and in Spain, where it is called CASA-127. ZeevRozenek,Modena,Italy
