cycling- an expansive hobby !!

I just did a small calculation yesterday, please, follow me: if you are a cyclist who rides with a group, and wish to participate in the races along the year, you would spend about 3000nis a year !!! not included maintaining the bikes, and added expenses, like fuel for the car, etc. how did I got to this amount? becoming a union memeber (plus them medical check)would be about 250 to 350 nis. participting in 10 races- (and this is a small number, if one rides both mountian and road)- 800nis. monthly pay to the team you ride with- 150nis a month, yearly 1800nis. does this number seems reasonable to anyone?

אוייש כמה אתה טועה

יש אנשים שלא יכולים להשקיע בעצמם 250 ש"ח בחודש ולפעמים גם לא בילדיהם, בישראל 2002 יש אנשים שאין להם! אים קוראים לתחרות עממית היא אמורה לפנות אל העמך לא? כ"כ הדברים הטובים באמת ניתנים חינם ( למותגים או מותרות צריך כסף-והרבה ): שמש ים כל דבר יפה שעובר ברחוב ומושך את העין( בחורה, כלב, צנונית ) אהבה סקס ( בכל כלל יש יוצא מן הכלל ) ריח של לחם, של רחוב אחרי הגשם וכו´ וכו´ וכו´

אני לא חושב ,,

א- את\ה לא כל כך מכירה אותי ואת הרקע הסוציואקונומי שלי ב- לא אמרתי שרק דברים טובים עולים כסף ג- מה לעשות : הספורט הזה יקר ולצערי יש הרבה אנשים שלא יכולים לחוות\להנסות. ד-לא חייבים לקנות אופניים בK שקלים ה- לא חייבים להתחרות, אבל מי שמתחרה צריך להבין שבמדינה מוטרפת כמו שלנו וגם במדינות לא מוטרפות\מטורפות משלמים עבור תחרויות: ארגון=כסף... פרסים=כסף... ו- צריך להנות ! 7- יום טוב...

I think your calculations are reasonable. I dont know about expensive. I think paying to a shrink is much more expensive and much less fun.

What´s your point?

If here it´s expansive, so think what about Europ or USA. There´s a race once a week and their computers and all much more better then ours... Union member is got to be the same price. and... walla ! expansive too. So cycling is an expansive hobby. So what? you love it? keep with it. So don´t race, don´t be a union member, ride alone without a team, and have fun
