Civilian divorce
Hi First I would like to thank you for any help you may provide us. email. My wife and i got married 8 months ago in “kafrisin”. We didn’t go to “misrad hapnim” or anyone else in Israel. We are both Jews, and Israelis, but moved to live in the USA just after our wedding for my work on a “work visa”. We decided to break up, and would like to know if we have to go thru the Rabanut, or a civilian divorce here in the USA is enough. Is there any way that “misrad hapnim” got the information from “kafrisin” and changed our status to “married” in Israel without us telling them anything about it? Hope you can help us. Thanks!
