Show review
Okay so we all know that Blink is out playing small clubs, but the TLA in Philadelphia holds 810 people. After the guys run around South Street buying CD's and stuff, it was time for sound check. When I say this club is small, I mean SMALL!!! After sound check everyone headed over to get some Philly cheese streaks, and about a half hour later everyone was regretting that choice. The kids that were lined up around the corner early in the day were treated to an impromptu meet and greet. Mark was walking back to his bus with newly bought CD’s and DVD’s when he stopped and hung out with the kids outside. Mark stayed there, took pictures and signed stuff for ever kid, even talked on some guys phone to his friend on the NY Stock Exchange. They let the kids in and it was time for the Kinison. If you haven’t heard of them you need to check them out. They have a new full length coming out on Travis’s label, La Salle. After The Kinison tears through their set, it was time for Bubba Sparxx. Bubba brings an older white guy named DJ scientist, a hype guy, and some guy playing his dad on stage. He puts on a great show, and when he takes his shirt off for the ladies it is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. When Blink came out I thought the kids were going to bust through the walls of the club. The crowd didn’t let up though whole set. If the crowds response to the new songs is any indicator, this new CD may be their best selling ever. Blink is putting on one of the best shows ever, and this is just a preview for the big tour. Who do you think Blink should take on their big tour? I personally, and this is just me, think that they should take Taking Back Sunday on the Big U.S. tour. Do you agree? After a blistering set the guys had to jet off to D.C. for an early show. The crew and I on the other hand will be in the bars so come say “Hi”.
