Between Germany and Scotland...|אוט
Hello everyone on the forum I miss everyone so much and I can´t wait to race at El Rom so I can see everyone and maybe knock a few people off the trail
The World Cup in Germany was torture - two and almost half hours of pain and the result (55 out of 90) wasn´t exactly what I wanted but my coach says the recent tough training will pay off in July August. But I enjoyed the race in Germany, since all serious racers do enjoy pain, and felt like I really gave all I could. Now I am resting a few days and tomorrow leave at 3:30 in the morning for Scotland with Ivonne Kraft, who got 13th in Germany. The race in Germany was muddy but not too much for this Israeli woman. I have learned to ride in that sticky stuff a little bit while I´ve been here two months. So when I heard the rain for a long time the night before the race I wasn´t scared. I rode the course three times in real thick, deep ,mud on Thursday so I was ready for everything. And now I head to Scotland where it supposedly rains every day. I hear there are roots and lots of mud on the course, but there is also a big uphill, which there wasn´t really in Germany, so I am optimistic. But can someone please please promise me that there won´t be mud at El Rom?? I miss the rocks and the dust!! It was great to finally speak Hebrew again with Dror Pekatz and David Resnick who were also at the race in Germany. I haven´t forgotten how to speak Hebrew yet!! So I hope to see lots of people at El Rom. I will be leaving the week after that for more races, one in Madrid and two World Cups in Canada. Happy trails to everone! Laurie
