Alania, the cıty of Cleopatra
We came to thıs lovely place this morning. The passage from Girne to Bozyazi was smooth at the begining but later a NW,ly 7 developed against all predictions. Bozyazi is a good sheltered place in the middle and a good place to stop. It's a unique habitat of the Mediterranean monk seal which is located in the area around in sea caves amongst the bazalt rocks ashore. Dolphins report: South west of Cape Andreas 3large adults were observed They played around for a few minutes and swam away. A large group of at least 3 famılıes played wıth us for about 30 mınutes or more about 5 miles west of Anamur Burnu. However no photographs taken sınce i was taking care of other matters. See next. G'org'era report: So far we have made 12 catches of nylon bags. İf collected we can open a supermarket. But how about the boat acting as a towıng hook? We sailed from Bozyazi 2 days ago at 0300 hrs . after a few hours i noticed a drop in the rpm with a strain on the engine, black smoke from the exhaust. Stop engine and check. The engine is ok and in low revs and free gear ıt works normally. However , the boat almost do not advance. It was apparent that the prop was engaged wıth an object under water. Diving,? not in a 2 mters swell So we returned to the port where i dived and got the prop free of a huge sheet of nylon . If i may say, this was the shit of the sheet
