Accommodation in japan

Hi, My name is Yuki living in Israel, actually Japanese

In September I will visit to Japan and I will have two weeks travelling in Japan. It must be strange that I would ask you people from Israel about Japan. But could you advise me about the accommodation in Japan? How much it takes cost, how did you find these place to sleep? Youth Hostel is reasonable or Ryokan or Minshuku is better,,etc. I want to travel there in cheaper way. Thank you!! You can write in Hebrew.

There are some suggestions in another thread in this page, with a few suggestions, though I think these ones are only for Tokyo and Kyoto. And as usual, the Lonely Planet always has some cheap suggestions, but I'm not sure if you'd want to buy it for just two weeks.​

Actually I bought "Lonely Planet" already. And I saw the cheapest way was staying at Youth Hostel. But I wanted to know if it's true or not, from someone really travelled in Japan. Is there any cheaper accommodation???

אמנם עוד לא טיילתי ביפן אבל שמעתי מאנשים שכן שיש כל מיני אכסניות עם חדרים משותפים ואפשר לישון שם על פוטון. המחירים בדרך כלל זולים (￥１８００) בגלל שזה משותף ואין מיטות. אולי תרצי לברר על זה. Just my 2 cents.

מנסיוני מקומות כאלה נשמעים מפוקפקים מראש - מקומות שהם פחות מ-2500 ין בד"כ יהיו מאורה דוחה עם מלא מלאאאא אנשים, תיקים ובלגאן בכל מקום - כן, יש כאלה גם ביפן, כמו שיש גם סטלנים יפנים

אכסניות זה ממש זול

בין 2000-5000 ין ללילה. במהלך טיולי יצא לי לישון באכסניות שונות וזה מאד נחמד וזול! באוקינאווה, בקיושו, טויקו והיה בהחלט סביר. אני מצאתי ב-2500 ללילה בכל המקומות הללו. ryokan הרבה יותר יקר, בסביבות ה- 10000 ללילה
