These two witches seemed to like each other when they first started working together on the WB's "Charmed," but it seems that came to a halt when Milano starting getting a little more popular than Doherty (who is no stranger to feuds). "We definitely didn't get along," Milano told an interviewer. "Shannen and I are very different people, and I think it's almost like a roommate. If you spend that much time with someone and there are differences anyway, you're not always going to get along." Milano admits the feud did get childish at times. "There were times when I'd come in and say, 'Good morning, Shannen,' and she didn't say anything to me. And there were times when she'd come in and say, 'Good morning, Alyssa,' and I wouldn't say anything to her." Again, this could have easily been settled in mud.

"I was so surprised when I found out from my mom that I was actually going to meet her." Hollywood makes young girl's wish come true By JENNIFER WEAVER CEDAR CITY - Christy Standler, 13, stood in a long line with her walker and bald head covered by a knit hat as she anxiously awaited her chance to submit her wish: To meet her favorite actress, Holly Marie Combs. NBC-Universal's new reality television show "Three Wishes" was accepting people's requests for whatever their hearts could imagine in the "Wish Tent" on Main Street on Aug. 22. Standler wanted to meet the actress who plays the character "Piper" on the WB Network's television series, "Charmed." It was a show she'd grown to love after watching it during her hospital stays to treat cancer. "Her character is nice and funny, and I guessed that's what I liked about her," said Standler. "I was so surprised when I found out from my mom that I was actually going to meet her The half-hour wait on that warm, muggy summer evening was a strain for Standler. Her neck began to hurt severely because six months earlier she'd had an extensive back operation to remove the baseball-sized tumor on her spine. "I told my mom I wanted to go because I didn't think I'd get my wish granted anyway, but then I was interviewed and I thought maybe I had a chance," Standler said. That brief interview was with "Access Hollywood" reporter Tony Potts and field producer Cara Petry. The pair were in town on a shoot for "Three Wishes" and were walking in line and talking with people who were toward the back. "We spotted Christy and decided to chat with her because there was something special about her," Petry said. "When we talked to her, we instantly wanted to go to the ends of the earth to help her, and when her wish was to meet Holly Marie Combs, Tony and I immediately looked at each other because we knew we were able to make it happen." Petry said arrangements were put into motion fairly soon after she and Potts returned to Los Angeles. "Access Hollywood" segment producer Celeste Kearsley said those preparations derived from a remarkable coincidence. "Christy was one of the people on our show we aired as part of our 'Three Wishes' segment. When I heard about it from Cara, I put in a call to the publicist of 'Charmed' and she called me back saying that Holly had seen the segment and told her, 'I want to meet this little girl,'" Kearsley said. "She saw it, and went to them, they came to us, we went to them, and we all sort of worked it out together for Christy to come out here with her mom." When Christy's mom, Nancy, got the call about the arranged meeting, she agreed instantly. She watched her daughter drop 25 pounds and go from having minor back pain to paralysis and from optimal health to death's door. Christy was more than deserving of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet her idol, she said. "It was the happiest Christy has been in the last year," Nancy said. Standler's meeting with Combs put a permanent smile on the girl's face. In that first moment, Combs threw her arms around her in an embrace. When asked if she was nervous, Christy said, "No, I was excited." She and her mom spent half a day on the "Charmed" set on Oct. 6. They met Comb's young son, actress Alyssa Milano and her Chihuahua, actor Brian Klausse, the director, the continuity editor and other crew members. "Everyone was really, really nice," said Standler. As much as the trip meant to the Standlers, it was just as touching for the people at "Access Hollywood." "It was the one good thing about my week, last week" Kearsley said. "So often this job feels like you don't make a difference... To do something to make someone happy, and it was so easy for us to do it, I mean, why wouldn't we?"
