מצאתי שם כמה שמות שאולי אולי משתייכים למשפחה של סבא שלי (לבקוביץ'). מה עושים הלאה? איך מאתרים אותם? לאן צריך לפנות? אשמח על כל תשובה!

I had been trying to find a relative in Poland for 18 months and had looked up many phone books and chased other leads but all with no success (but with plenty of much appreciated effort from members of this group). Then I spoke to the Polish Consulate who advised me to contact the "Biuro Adresowe Centrale". I sent to them a polite letter written using easy to read English phrases. I stated the few details I had about my relative including his full name, approximate age, my family relationship to him, and his last known address. Six weeks later they sent to me his address and telephone number. We have now renewed our contact after a 17 year break! The address of the bureau is: Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnetrznych i Administracji Biuro Adresowe Centrale ul. Kazimierzowska 60 Warszawa 02-543 Poland I don't know if they will give out address details in all cases or if they will continue to do so ... but it worked for me! Good luck.
