I saw Rupert again...
3 times in total lol He was so cute I even wrote him a short thank you letter for being so nice, he loved it lol I made friends with Daniel Radcliffe's driver (who I later found out is actually his UNCLE as well!) And he asked my for my home address, he's going to send me a signed picture from Daniel, it better be a nice one!! lol At the end I decided it's only Emma I hate lol

לפני איזה שבועיים! איזה סרט מעולה! חחחח כל כך יפה ומצחיק. טכניקה מדהימה, שעד עכשיו לא ברור לי איך יצרו את הסרט הזה. כאילו ברור שנעשתה כאן איזושהיא עבודת מחשב מתוחכמת למדי אבל הם פשוט נראים כמו.. כמו.. פלסטלינה! חחחח והדמויות, כל כך אקספרסיוניסטיות! כל העיוותים האלה, פשוט כל כך מגניב. ו
שמתם לב שעולם המתים הוא הצבעוני לעומת עולם החיים האפור והקודר. זה מאוד בולט, והחלטה מאוד יפה בעייני. מאוד נהניתי בסרט הזה, מומלץ מאוד!

Tim Burton used the exact same technique in the incredible movie "the nightmare before christmas"... What i know about "stop motion" is that it is all puppets, not computer work. To create one motion (such as a wave of the hand), the puppets are put in the starting position, then they are moved a tiny bit each shot, until they get to the end of the movement. Then, putting all the shots of each tiny movement together creates one single motion. This technique requires a lot of work, but it is absolutely worth it! Tim Burton is a genius!

כאילו, ככה עושים סרטי פלסטלינה
כל פעם מעצבים את הדמות בצורה אחרת, כאילו פריים, פריים, פריים... זה ממש מטורף. ולמען האמת, יש דמות אחת במיוחד שנראתה כמו פלסטלינה שהיא האממ נהג הכרכרה השמן של אה המשפחה של או שכחית איך קוראים לו, טוב ג'וני
ולמען האמת זה לא ממש נראה כמו בובות. אבל מאוד אהבתי את זה, מה שלא תיהיה השיטה. דרך אגב, ראיתי ברחוב בטורונטו, איזה חנות שעשתה תצוגת בובות מהסרט, זה היה ממש יפה... נראה לי זה בגלל Halloween, כל העיר הייתה מלאה בדלעות ושטויות של מכשפות

like you said, the "plastelina" films are made the same way - here in london both "corpse bride" and "wallace and gromit: the curse of the wererabbit" came out at the same week. both are stop-motion. the only difference is that "corpse bride" is puppets and "wallace and gromit" is 'plastelina' (both films, bytheway, also feature the voice of mrs burton aka helena bonham carter) i was watching an interview on tv with tim burton yesterday where he was talking about it. basically he drew the characters, some very talented animation people made the puppets, while the background (cities/houses/etc...) are all drawn. jessicarabbit explained the process of the shooting. on a GOOD day filming of stop-motion, you'll film no more than 6 SECONDS of the film! tim burton said on the interview sometimes they only filmed 6 SECONDS IN A WEEK! so, yes, it's a very long and tiring process. but it's worth it, and i guess that explains why all these films are so short! lol tim did mention several times that he despies CGI (computer animation) because it looks so fake, that's why he keeps using that old and beautiful stop-motion technique.

C מדובבת בוואלס וגרומיט? אממ ולדעתי.. חחח בניגוד לג'וני, שדמותו נעשתה די דומה לו, עם הלנה קרה בדיוק ההפך, אך לטובתה... כי מלבד היותה של הגופה, חחח גופה, היא כוסיץ על.. והלנה?.. חחח אמ.... בכל אופן בקשר ל Stop motion... זה מטורף. חח טים ברטון אכן גאון אבל לפעמים אני חושבת שהוא צריך להחליף את מי שמטפל לו בכספים. הוא ידוע כאחד באמת שלא אוהב להשתמש בעריכת מחשב וגם בונה לעצמו סטים חיים ותפאורה עוצרת נשימה כמו אממ... כמו בעצם בצ'ארלי!
וגם במקרה הזה, 6 שניות ביום? זה באמת מטורף! מאיפה המימון לכל הדברים האלה?
