MGM has announced that Stargate SG-1 is set to begin Season Eight on July 9th on the Sci Fi Channel! The new Stargate Atlantis series begins the following Friday, July 16th with a two hour premiere episode. Both SG-1 and Atlantis will run for 20 episodes in the coming season, instead of the 22 that previous seasons have had.
