NME put up an interesting story where Dave Grohl comments on Nirvana; "On the day of the settlement, Grohl told NME.COM: ´It´s interesting to be stuck in traffic and hear a DJ say ´´OK, coming up next it´s the new Nirvana´´. That´s pretty wild.´ The Foo Fighters frontman refused to blame anyone for deliberately leaking the song on the Internet. ´That music was made for a reason – it was made for people to hear,´ he said. ´I´m glad that song´s out, I´m glad that song has finally seen the light of day.´ Asked about the Nirvana rarities album planned for 2003, Grohl commented: ´I kind of know what´s going to be on it. There´s a lot of stuff no one´s ever heard.´ " Read the full story here. What´s most noteworthy here is how Dave said that the upcoming Rarities album would indeed feature unreleased material. That should eliminate the fear that they were going to re-release various B-sides and songs that were previously only available on compilations. Dave Grohl is not the only former Nirvana member that is happy about You Know You´re Right finally getting out; "Nirvana´s unreleased track ´You Know You´re Right´ may have hit the airwaves prematurely, but former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic tells JAM! Music he´s pleased the tune was leaked early. ´I´m glad. If it were up to me, that song would have been out last year,´ says Novoselic. ´I had that song in my basement for eight years and nobody even knew about it. I think it´s a great song. I´m really proud of it. It´s a great performance by everybody and I´m glad that people get to hear it - finally.´ Novoselic admits that he hasn´t been privy to fan reaction to ´You Know You´re Right´, but did hear that ´people are saying good things about it.´ " Read the full story here, courtesy of JAM!
