יש שני סוגים של חלב אם (בהתאם לתדירות השאיבה): חלב שומני וחלב יותר מיימי. מה עדיף ל-
ברור שבחלב שומני, יש יותר קלוריות, אך מה בנוגע לשאר המרכיבים

in some cases, I recommend to mothers to separate the fat and skim milk. If a mom gave birth in the 26-32nd week to a very small baby, she will be pumping for many months and producing more milk than the baby needs. In this case, I recommend to her to pump off the skim milk first and put it aside, then pump the fat milk to give to the baby to speed up the growth a bit. I only do that in cases where the doctors want to give the baby artificial milk which has higher calories. In all the cases where moms have done this, the results have been amazing,and the babies did not have to get artificial milk!!​
