האיש הוא...

ג'וזף ג'ון תומסון(1940-1856), היה פיסיקאי אנגלי, שעיקר פרסומו בא לו מההוכחה לקיומו של האלקטרון בשנת 1897. היה אחד ממיסדייה של הפיסיקה האטומית המודרנית. פרס נובל הוענק לו ב-1906 וכמו כן שבעה מתלמידיו במרוצת השנים זכו בפרסי נובל.
