ביוגרפיה קצרה: Eriq La Salle actor, director Born: 7/23/1962 Birthplace: Hartford, Connecticut La Salle was working on projects on and Off Broadway even before he graduated with a degree in theater arts from New York University. In 1984 he landed a role in the daytime drama One Life to Live, and in 1991 relocated to California to costar with John Mahoney (Frasier) in the short-lived television series The Human Factor. He kept busy with guest appearances on LA Law, Quantum Leap, and A Different World until 1994, when he landed a lead role as Dr. Peter Benton in the hit series ER. His movie credits include Coming to America (1988), The Color of Night (1994), and D.R.O.P. Squad (1994). He wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Psalms from the Underground (1996) and directed the HBO movie Angel of Harlem. La Salle hung up his ER stethoscope in 2001. מה שיפה בקשר ביניהם שזה גם אחרי שהם נפרדו כזוג, הם המשיכו להיות חברים טובים. אחרי שהוא עזב, הוא חזר לדבר איתה, מי שחוזר, והיא אמרה לו שהיא חושבת שהיא עוזבת את מארק והוא אמר לה לללכת אליו.

בלי ספק אחד הזוגות הכי משמעותיים בסידרה, יחסי אב ובן, יחס אח בוגר אח קטן, איך שתרצו לקרוא לזה. פיטר היה שם ותמך בקרטר כשהיה צריך אותו, והביא אותו לגמילה. בפרק שדקרו את קרטר , הוא טס בכל המדרגות כדי להגיע אליו. בפרק שבנטון עוזב i'll be home for christmes Christmas. Peter is out on his daily jog. As he goes by a bench, Carter calls out to him, saying, "I guess Santa didn't bring you that new bike you wanted." Peter is surprised to see him, and Carter explains that Cleo told him Peter's route. Peter asks Carter if he wants to jog with him, but Carter replies, "If I want to get my heart rate up, I'll have another cup of coffee." Carter goes on to say that he got Peter's message, and says, "I guess that there's no way of talking you out of it." "Nah. Done deal," Peter assures him. Carter then pulls out a box and tells Peter, "I got you something." Peter tries to refuse it, but Carter insists. Peter opens the box and finds an El token. Carter explains that back in his second week as a surgical intern, "We got 11 traumas in one night ... and I was so tired I couldn't even see straight. And I asked you if I could take a break. And you kicked me out of the OR. I couldn't even drive home, I was so exhausted." Peter listens intently as Carter goes on. "I just sat down and started crying right there in the hallway. You came out of surgery and you gave me that [token]. You said I could use it to go home, or I could commit to what I was doing and use it to come back the next day." Peter doesn't know what to say. He jokes, "No Rolex, huh?" Carter says, "I figured that if you get tired of Schaumburg, you could use that to get back." Peter points out, "They don't use tokens any more." "Then call," Carter says, "and I'll come pick you up." Carter is fighting his emotions. He says, "Look, I want you to know that I owe you." Carter steps forward and gives Peter a hug. Peter protests feebly, but reluctantly hugs him back. They separate, and Carter throws a couple of fake punches at Peter's stomach. Peter says, "I'm getting cold, I better move on," and starts to jog off, but Carter calls after him . "Hey Peter," Carter calls. "I'm a good doctor because of you." "No, you're not," Peter replies with a smile. "But keep trying." Carter simply shakes his head and watches as Peter jogs away.
