Luka might be asleep at the admit desk, because Susan calls to him to wake up. He treats two young patients, including boy with a GWS to the eyes and drives his Viper on to a golf course to convince a specialist to come in for surgery. At the end of the day, a man shows up at the hospital to beg Luka to stop seeing his wife because he is trying to put his family back together. Later, Luka takes a phone call from the wife and he tells her she should stop calling him. Even later, while sitting alone in the bar, he is approached by a redhead. After conversation and agreement to leave together, she names her price. Luka looks away, finishes his drink, stands to go, then turns back and escorts her out. Susan seems emotionally reluctant to treat a young boy but Kerry gives encouragement to her. Later, Susan and Kerry have a conversation (don´t know what), but ends with the news of the baby. At the end of the day, Susan, in her apartment, has candles lit, soft music playing and a nice dinner prepared, but she eats alone. (Interesting that this scene is set just before the one of Luka in the bar.) Eric is AWOL from the Air Force, who thinks he has PTSD, and whom Eric never told about Maggie being bi-polar. When the MP´s arrest him in front of Abby, Eric is livid and yelling at Abby, accusing her of betrayal. Later, Carter comes home to Abby with dinner (they are living together) to find she bought some wine and opened it, but (very important) she has not drunk any. She tells Carter of her struggles and pain, and Carter is very supportive of her. Again, lots of patients with poignant stories, lots of teaching, Harkins and Gallant, Nathan and Corday, Pratt, Chen and Kerry. From Donatella Four men are making their way to the green. They hear a car. Luka drives up to them in his black car and stops. Getting out of his car, one of the men calls him an idiot. Ignoring that insult, Luka asks which one of the men is Doctor Abrams. Abrams speaks up and says he is. Luka tells him he needs to come with Luka. That he has a fourteen year old with a ruptured glove who may lose his eyesight because Doctor Abrams ignored his page. Abrams calls Luka crazy. Luka tells him to get in the car. Abram asks if Luka is kidnapping him. Luka tells him to consider it an escorting service. Abram now realizes that Luka isn´t kidding. Walt, the man who minutes earlier called Luka a name, tells Dr. Abram he doesn´t have to go. Luka asks him if he is a doctor. Walt admits that he isn´t. Luka tells him to shut up then. Dr. Abrams asks what about his golf clubs. Kovac tells his friend to take care of the clubs. Dr. Abrams gets into the car, saying he only wanted to get in a last one. From Epnebelle: EPISODE 9.8 Abby travels with Gallant to Nebraska to see her brother after his arrest, and encounters Maggie. After a drunk driver injures a family, Carter and Corday start an emergency heart-lung transplant. It´s not from the usual sources, so even though I´m confident it´s correct, I can´t give it the same reliability we´ve come to expect from Epnebelle or the spoiler queens at [email protected] Anyhow here it is. Erin is a sharp student. Has some weaknesses but is on the ball and gradually earns the respect of her higher ups, including Carter and Luka. None of this is lost on Abby. And it occasionally shows. The conflict begins after Pratt meddles in Army recruit Gallant´s treatment of a suicidal soldier. But when Dr. Kayson (Sam Anderson), the chief cardiologist, refuses to help a known hypochondriac (Diane Delano), Gallant finally hits his limit and unloads on Pratt for having too much to say and too little to offer once the woman´s symptoms prove to be legitimate.
