BER stand for BIT ERROR RATE and the reading of the bar should as little as possible. QEF stand for Quasi Error Free and this marker is equivalent with 2.0x10°°-4, which means one uncorrectable error per hour. The bar should not exceed this marker. The BDM-module should not be installed by a non-expert. Today we got enough software to do the same job (see TSI 3-4/98, Bit & Pieces). Anyway, the majority does not want a PC beside the TV-set. If someone needs more comfort, he should sell his d-box and switch to a more suitable receiver, like 9200/9600 or Lemon. A description in TSI would do more harm then positive results. Since my telephone number is known to the readers, I would get all the complaints.
