Following the sucess of their multi-platinum debut album "PCD", released in September 2005, The Pussycat Dolls are to return to the studio to record the follow-up LP. "We are really excited about this record [and] we have so much more freedom to do our own thing. This record is a much more 'hands-on' experience [for us]," explains member Carmit. After having worked with talent such as Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am ("Beep"), Snoop Dogg ("Buttons") and Timbaland (producer and guest vocalist for the new and final single from the album, "Wait A Minute") on "PCD", the Dolls have drafted in some equally big names for the sophomore effort. "We have a studio session with Pharrell [Williams] coming up in the next few weeks, which will be hot. We're also working with Cee-Lo again, who produced "Don't Cha" for us," continues Carmit. A taster for what to expect on the album was given a few weeks ago when a snippet of a track called "Dang (Work That)" leaked onto the net. However fans were confused as lead Pussycat Doll, Nicole, who has sung lead vocals for every Pussycat Doll single, didn't appear on the clip. "Nicole was only under contract with the group for one album and we're so grateful that we had her talent on the first record. She's with the group until late August, once we've released the final single from the album, and then she's going solo. But don't worry, the Pussycat Dolls are still here and doing better than ever," says Ashley, "We're having a lot of guest talent on this next record, with a lot of 'old friends' coming back to feature on songs. I can't say who just yet, but ya'll will be suprised." Britney!?
