כתבתי לך הינה זה פה Im sorry I couldnt write to you until now. I was on a vacation for the weekend and I didn't have any access to a computer.Wow. I would love to meet Sarit with you!! I would definitely tell you, the next time I come to Israel, the only problem is Im not sure when that will be. My family tries to come once a year, but with the bombings and everything it doesnt always work out. So I guess if we come in the summer I will definitely tell you and we can go to the office!!!! Im surprised you learned english like that all by yourself!! English isnt such an easy language! I think hebrew is much easier, and less complex. Its amazing you could learn it like that!!!!!! Its also great you could get the job since you knew english. So many Israelis just dont understand all the uses of English! You sure write like your an American at heart! Its great you like the American culture. I feel the same about Israel. I love Israeli music, especially Sarit Hadad OF COURSE! I love shwarma and the food in Israel. I also like the Israeli shows like Mishack Hahaim and Lechayey Haahava and Lagaat Baosher :) And most of all I lOVE visiting Israel whenever I can!! So its great you love Amercia, I love Israel just the same. So here goes... I used to live in the Bronx, one of 5 boroughs of New York City. Manhattan is also one of the boroughs and it was close by. In the Bronx, I went to a jewish school, where I learned half Hebrew and half English. But that was only until second grade. Then I moved to Ardsley, which is in Westchester, about 45 minutes from Manhattan. So now I just go to a regular American shcool and Im in 10th grade At home, I speak English, but my dad is Israeli, so he speaks to me in mostly Hebrew and some English and I answer in English :) So thats about me, what about you? You have a job? How is it? You probably speak Hebrew all the time? How is it to live in Israel?? So I hope to meet Sarit soon, maybe you and her together, but that will have to wait until at least this next summer. So until then, lets keep writing...

I like this. I really do
he he he...I mean, look how everyone almost gettin "scared" by how much we write to each other here, and they can't read a word...not that I tell you my darkest secrets here, but still I think it's pretty special and I really enjoy it. I can't do that with anyone else you know
Thank you for tellin me a little bit about you and where you live, it interests me. I've Never spoken to other Sarit fans from overseas. Your life sounds cool...and It's great to see how much you love Israel. It is a very beautiful, charming little land, isn't it? And it's all OURS. I know that our political situation is very sad, but I try to look at the happier things that this country have to offer, not the political dispute. Actually about the languages, Hebrew is a VERY VERY hard language, I was surprised to hear you think it's easy. It's so not. They say that it's one of the hardest. Maybe next time I will explain why. English for me never was too hard..the grammer stuff was abit complicated but my Eng is just great (thankfully), I have no prob writing, speaking, reading and it's surly a big big blessing. Do you know how many hours I'd sit and write and practice? ALOT. And not coz I felt that I wanna get somewhere, but I was so very attracted to it, so because of that strong passion my mine, my level jumped higher and higher and I have a very good English now. Everyone thinks I am from the US or something, or that I have some kind of a backgroung, and it's funny, it really flatters me every time.
I realize your folks may be worried about comming here, but no where is safe today. You know, Madonna said in her interview that New York today is not any safer than Israel, and she was so right and that was a smart thing to say. But I understand your parents' worries. Anyhow, when you do decide to come - you are more then welcome to connect me and let me know, so I can make your lil dream COME TURE I'm sure u'd appreciate it and I'd like to meet you, and maybe speak abit of English too
Yeah, at home of course I speak Hebrew...I don't ever speak English with anyone, which is bad coz I think it's a better exercise I admit, I feel abit embarrassed to speak Eng to one's face, that is why I suggested speakin it with you when I get the chance to meet you I wanted to ask something - I saw that you write both Hebrew and Eng here, I bet you have a keyboard with the 2 languages, don't you? Since...when I was in Canada recently, I went to the University there to write here in the forum and obviously their keyboards don't have Hebrew on them. I hope you enjoyed your vacation, and I hope to hear from you real soon Huggs and kisses
Niva.

Ya this is really fun! They should be "scared" because they dont know english and how important it is! Its really fun for me to talk to you, and about Sarit Hadad in English since there aren't a lot of My friends make fun of me for liking her. I even have an frind who, came from Israel, but he acts like the rest of the Americans here and just pretends he's never heard of her. Its really sad. people to talk to about her around here in New York, unfortunately. Its like America is isolated from Israel and Europe. I think Hebrew is a hard language, but I learned it after being in second grade, and hearing my parents speak it all the time. So I can understand it and speak it, but youre right, it is a hard language to read and write. But I think English too is very complicated with all the grammar rules and all the exceptions to the rules. Israel is probably as safe as New York, but my parents worry since the violence happens more often, even though when it happens in New York, its much much bigger. Its ok to feel embarrased. Everytime I go to Israel on the plane they start asking me questions (like what would you like to drink)in hebrew and that first time is always hard. But after that its easy. I have a keyboard with only English, but on Windows XP, there is a program that has the keyboard on the screen and you click the letters in any language with the mouse, so I use that. How was Canada? You went to University there? As long as I come to Israel this summer, I will surely tell you, and we can meet each other and speak English and maybe even meet Sarit! Ill try to write again whenever I can because I have a lot of tests in school now :(, but Ill try to write again as soon as possible!
