כאב בפיטמה
Hello Esther, you provided a lot of help and support during my struggle with breast feeding my oldest son, and I am gratful for your help, I was able to nurse him until he was 14 months old. I am seeking your advice with my second son. I delivered my second son 2 weeks ago, he came 4 weeks premature, and had to stay in NICU for 11 days. He was released from the hospital on Thursday. I used Ameda hospital grade electric pump to express milk while he was there, and I went to breast feed him twice a day. Now that he is home, he is only breast fed. Two days before he was released I got a really bad case of mastitis. I am taking antibiotic and I am feeling better, however, I cannot get rid of a really stinging pain close to my nipple in the infected breast. The swellling went down, it is no longer red and warm to touch, and I don't feel engorged, however, my nipple hurts very much. It does not look cracked, so I really don't know what it is. Can you help? Thank you.
