But while performing the role of a metally challenged guy in the theatre production of "Suffering Fools", he was spotted by Martha Henry, who is one of Canada´s celebrated leading actresses and directors. Martha told David that he had talent, and recommended that he change the course of his career. Chris Potter´s first solid job came as the "lone male" on the CBC series "Material World." He appeared in this show in two seasons. After this, he was then in four seasons of "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues." He also has voiced the role of Gambit for three seasons in the animated series "X-Men". In addition to starring in three seasons of "Silk Stalkings" for the USA Network, Chris also directed a number of episodes. Remarkably, Potter has found time between his own series to make guest television appearances on "Lonesome Dove," "Hidden Room," "Counterstrike," "Top Cops" and "The Outer Limits," among others. One of his favorite guest appearances was the role in one of the most anticipated episodes of "Will & Grace" - the first appearance of Will´s mysterious ex-boyfriend, Michael. Potter also starred in "The Shrink Is In," with Courtney Cox-Arquette, and "The Waiting Game" which aired on Showtime. Recently Chris shot two independent features. He starred in Argus Entertainment´s "Rockets Red Glare," directed by Joe Mandrake, and then he was off to Spain to star in "Arachnid," directed by Jack Shoulder. Both films will be released sometime next year. Despite his extensive workload, he still finds time to maintain his love for hockey, playing on the Celebrity All-Star Hockey Team for various charities. Has is also a BMI recording artist and has released an album entitled "Tourmaline." When the role of Dr. David Cameron was presented to Chris, he was very excited that he was going to be part of the cutting edge show Queer As Folk. Chris enjoys quiet evenings spent at home with his wife, Karen, and their son and 3 daughters. בן-רוברט גאנט Robert Gant was most recently seen on the WB’s Popular as the eccentric Vice-Principal. His other television work includes guest-starring roles on Friends, Caroline in the City, Veronica’s Closet, Becker, Melrose Place, and Ellen. He also appeared in the independent film The Contract and will be seen in Fits and Starts to be released in 2002. Gant began acting in television commercials at the age of ten. At eleven, he found himself doing a soft-shoe routine with Bob Hope as part of Hope’s USO tour. Following high school, Gant headed to the University of Pennsylvania and then on to Georgetown Law School. While studying law, he never gave up on his true passion, acting, and continued to perform in numerous theatrical productions. He moved to Los Angeles to work in the world’s largest law firm and in a twist of fate, four months after his relocation, the Los Angeles office was closed. Taking that as an omen, he made the decision to focus all of his time on his acting and has been working ever since
