Yesterday, I had to wake up at 6 AM so as to be on set in full face by 8 for a Robbie Williams music video. Robbie is one of the sexiest pop stars in the history of music AND this particular video featured him in drag for the very first time. How could I say no? I was merely one of MANY freaks on the set. There were drag queens of every level — superstars like myself, Alexis Arquette and Momma, alongside show “girls” such as The Chanel Twins, my favorite up-and-coming clown Tammy Brown, and a truck driver with a hairy back wearing an off-the-shoulder ball gown. There were also many club kid types, circus-inspired extras and, for some reason, many Asian girls. So exotic. I wish I could tell you more, but for some reason we were all asked to sign annoying confidentiality agreements. Don’t get me wrong, I really did have fun. Hanging out with Alexis was just like old times. She makes me laugh like very few people can. She’s a total retard. But I learned yesterday that I can no longer sit in full drag in the parking lot of an old bowling alley from 8 AM to 9 PM for a couple hundred bucks. Sorry if it sounds egotistical, but I’m bigger than that.
