היה בחור פשוט בחור ממשפחה ענייה ,בחור שגדל בחלק היותר דרומי של ארהב ,בחור שבעצם בזכות הנתונים שקיבל מהטבע כולל כשרון קולי עצום ובמקום ובזמן הנכון עזר בצורה מטאורית לשנות את פני המוסיקה במאה העשרים ,ולפתוח דלתות לסגנונות שעד אז היו רק במקומות קטנים או במיוחד אצל הקהל השחור האמריקאי .
בחור שעשה את מה שהוא אוהב איך שהוא אוהב למרות שהיו קשיים בדרך .במיוחד עם ההכוונה של קולונל תום פארקר הבחור הזה ששמו -אלביס פרסלי גרם וזרז בצורה מהירה מאוד את פני המוסיקה הפופולארית העולמית .הופעת הבמה המחשמלת שלו ,הכריזמה שהייתה לו במנות יתר המראה המיוחד ויופיו ,וכמובן קולו המיוחד והבולט ,בקיצור אלביס קיבל מהטבע את החבילה האולטימטיבית שאומן פרפורמר זמר יכול רק לחלום או לדמיין .
קולו המיוחד והיוצא דופן מבחינת עוצמה מינעד רגש הבעה צבע ושליטה פנומנלית במיגוון רב מאוד של סיגנונות היה קול שהרבה אנשי מיקצוע כתבו ניתחו ושיבחו .
היו ביצועים שאם אתה לא מכיר את הרפרטואר העצום שאלביס הספיק להקליט ב 23 שנות קריירה היית חושב שבכלל זה זמר אחר ולא אלביס ,יכולת המשחק של קולו מבחינת צבע מינעד וסיגנון איפשרו לאלביס לגעת בהמון תחומים וסיגנונות .
כמו שציינתי רבות ניכתב על קולו של פנומן זה וזה ניכתב מאנשים שקצת מבינים הרבה יותר מאנשי מיקצוע בארצנו .
קולו כמובן במשך השנים השתנה ,והשתנה לטוב בהמון פרמטרים ,אך דברים מסוימים תמיד יחדו את היכולות שלו ,והנה קצת ממה שאנשי מיקצוע בעולם כותבים ,,

I read that some voice teachers rated Elvis' voice quite highly, saying he could gravitate between bass, baritone, and tenor. Also, the opera diva Kiri te Kanawa has been quoted as saying that the early Elvis Presley was the finest singer she ever heard.
