In 1997, 20 years later, the band was asked if they would cover 'Dreams' for a Fleetwood Mac tribute album that was in the making. The song can be found on Fleetwood Mac - The Legacy album. They then later remixed the track so it could be added to the second release of Talk on Corners, and later on again another mix of the song was born and Dreams became a big hit and made the band very popular in 1998. It was their break-though track in the UK when radio stations all across the country caught the Corrs bug. Little Wing - Originally Jimi Hendrix wrote and recorded this song in the 60's. The Corrs heard a cover recorded by Sting, unknown to them that it was a Hendrix tune; they began to play it at some gigs. They later enlisted the help of fellow Irish band, The Chieftains, to record the track onto their second studio album, Talk on Corners. The song also features on the two live albums, Unplugged and Live in Dublin, featuring Ron Wood. Everybody Hurts - Originally a hit for REM in the mid 90's, the Corrs performed this live at the concert for victims of the Omagh bombing, that was held November 1998 in Belfast, together with various other artists they raised £150000 for the fund. They said that 'the song fit the occasion, and they loved playing it'. They later recorded it on their first live album; MTV unplugged and performed it live again for Net Aid, October 1999. No Frontiers - Originally sung by Mary black in 1990 and written by Jimmy McCarthy. This became a solo song for Caroline and Sharon at some concerts, particularly Lansdowne Road, 1999. The song also features on their first live album, MTV Unplugged. Old Town - This is another song from the MTV Unplugged album. A song written by Phil Lynott for the band Thin Lizzy, it was a single for them in 1982. This song was performed at most concerts of the In Blue tour 2000/2001; it can be seen on the Unplugged and Live in London DVD's. Summer Wine - Written by Lee Hazelwood, he recorded it with Nancy Sinatra in 1968 for the album, Fairy Tales & Fantasies: The Best of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. The Corrs invited Bono to join them in the VH1 special The Corrs - Live in Dublin, recorded in January 2002. When The Stars Go Blue - Written by Ryan Adams for his album Gold, the Corrs performed this track, again with Bono, for the VH1 special, The Corrs - Live in Dublin, recorded in January 2002. Ruby Tuesday - Originally a hit in 1967 for the Rolling Stones, the Corrs were joined by Ron Wood of the Stones for the VH1 special The Corrs - Live in Dublin, recorded in January 2002. Only Love Can Break Your Heart - Originally Neil Young released this on his album, After The Gold Rush, in 1970 the Corrs performed this live for the VH1 special The Corrs - Live in Dublin, recorded in January 2002. 1999 - Prince recorded 1999 in 1982 on the same album of that name. It was the album that came out right before his most popular album, Purple Rain. It was probably Andrea who suggested they record a Prince track as she was a big fan of prince while growing up. The track was performed on New Years Eve, 1999, in Nottingham, UK. We Are Family - This song, recorded many times before, most popular by the Pointer Sisters and Aretha Franklin during the 60's, the mowtown era, and also a 90's cover hit for Sister Sledge. It was performed live by The Corrs at Hamburg Docks in 1996, it can be found on the 'You Will Not Forget' bootleg. Long And Winding Road - This was a Beatles song, originally released in 1970. The Corrs recorded the song as part of a tribute double album to Linda McCartney, featuring many artists. All proceeds from the double CD will benefit the Women and Cancer charity. The band performed it live at 2001's comic relief show and later added it as a b-side to the new single Would You Be Happier, released later in the year. The song was also performed at the Queen's Golden Jubilee Concert, June 2002. The Winner Takes It All - Originally an Abba song, the Corrs recorded this track for an Abba tribute album titled 'Abbamania' along with various artists, including B*witched, Steps and Westlife who each did a cover of an Abba track. The album, Abbamania, was released in 2000. Looking In The Eyes Of Love - It was written by Tricia Walker and Kostas Lazarides, and sung by 'Alison Krauss and Union Station', is on the album 'So Long, So Wrong'. The Corrs covered this track and released it on the album, 'In Blue: Special Edition', in 2000. Happy Christmas … War is over - Another Beatles cover, was performed live for President Clinton at Christmas in Washington. They later included it as a bonus track on their In Blue tour in December 2000. The song can be seen on the Corrs DVD of Live in London, Wembley 2000.
