בעיה במכשיר sansa

פתאום אני לא מצליח להדליק את המכשיר אחרי שפירמטתי אותו לפעמים הוא מראה לי את השם שלו שאני מדליק ושאני מחבר אותו ועושה update עם הכלי של sansa התוכנה אומרת : your device is in mtp mode.it can be updated in MSC mode .please unplug your device and switch to MSC mode if you want to check for update כשאני מסתכל בdevice manager המחשב באמת מזהה אותו כMSC ולא כ SANSA האם מישהו מכיר?

טוב אספתי כמה עצות,חלק כפולות אבל אין לי כוח לסנן,תקרא הכל תחזור יש כמה מגה שישורים על אותה בעיה ress and hold the square button, while holding the volume up + button. It resets, it should be able to be charged and detected after doing that I guess. Worked for me. if you have a micro sd card put it in the device then turn it on. i have read on other forums this may resolve the issue. not sure but worth a try. A soft-reset is performed by pressing the Volume Up (+) and Select buttons at the same time. This is similar to restarting a desktop computer. As far as I know, a hard reset can only be performed by formatting the device's internal memory, which requires the device to be operational. A hard reset clears all the files and settings. Alright....the player is working fine now... All it took was just a $3 128MB Sandisk micro SD card... So for those who are still stuck with the bootup problem the following steps may help.... There would be a system restart in one of the following steps and hence add this page into your favorites list so you can easily get here or copy the procedure into a notepad file or something.. 1.Get a micro SD memory card of lesser than or equal to 1GB(As the old firmware of the player supports only lesser than 2 GB,lets be in safer side..) The card SHOULD be from SANDISK only..May be if you have other brands with you readily, you can give it a try... 2.Insert the memory card and turn ON the player....it should work well as it was before...Now go through the playlist and play some songs so that you can ensure the working of the player before proceeding to the firmware update. Now press the menu button(power button) and go to settings and check the player's firmware version..make a note of it so that you can confirm the firmware upgrade later.Turn OFF the player. 3.Now remove the memory card from the player and turn it ON again...it will turn ON and just check if it is working properly again like it did with the memory card.If it doesnt turn ON dont hesitate to repeat Step 2 for a few times. 4.Lets get into business now...Download the Sansa Update . It is a Zip file... Unzip the files to a location.copy the file named "StMp3Rec.sys" file into Your system 32 folder i.e. ( "C:\Windows\System32\" ) .Insert your wounded device into an available USB port.Run the executable file "SansaExpressUpdater" located in the "SansaEXPRESSA1_01_05" folder.. 5.It will update the device but it prompts you for a device format and also a system restart...choose "YES" for both....Dont remove the player now..After the system restarts...remove the player by using "Safely remove device" option in the system tray. 6.Turn ON the player and go to settings ,check the new firmware version.it should different from the one you have noted before.Well now you have passed 80% of the player recovery...Now the player has recovered from the bootup disease... 7.One last hop is left for the player to get the latest firmware update so that it supports micro SDHC cards of upto 8 GB and other little issues that i havent discovered yet..Remove the player from your PC's USB port now...Download Sansa Express Updater and run the executable file. This file is different from the one you have already downloaded.. 8.It will ask you to install the updater software and it will get you into a place where it will ask you to insert the player .Do it and click Finish. An autorun window will open ...close it..Locate a small icon in your system tray(near system clock) that looks like an "S" in red colour...Right click on it and click "Check for updates now" Give the App some time to connect to internet and check for new updates and it will find one for sure. 9.Now check the firmware update by clicking on the checkbox and click Update..it will again format the entire internal drive during the process... 10.Finally your player is now recovered from several diseases...Go and enjoy using it by first transfering some songs into it. Credits goes to Jake (for letting us to know about the firmware update) timboaz (micro SD memory card idea) There isn't an MSC mode you can set on the player, but you can do it on a per-computer basis through Device Manager by telling it to use MSC drivers: Open the Device Manager on your Windows PC of choice Find the Express under Other Devices or Portable Devices Right-click on the Express and click Properties Click "Update Driver" If the wizard asks you to connect to Windows Update, say "No, not this time" "Install the software automatically (Advanced)" "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" Then, select USB Mass Storage Device and click Next, and you can finish installing MSC mode drivers. The change will be persistent on the computer where you do this, but other computers will still see the player in MTP mode unless you do it there as well. The Express really wasn't meant to be used in MSC mode, so if you break something, you get to keep both pieces. (1) Right-click on My Computer then select Properties. (2) In the Hardware tab, click the Device Manager button. (3) Find the Sansa Express device. (It should be in the Portable Devices category) (4) Right click on the device then select Update Driver. (5) Choose "No...", "Install from a list...", and then "Don't search...". (6) Check the "Show Compatible Hardware" checkbox if it is unchecked. (7) Select "USB Mass Storage Device", click Next, and then click Finish. Hi everyone, Yesterday, I tried updating my Sansa Express's firmware to 01.01.05 and guess what happened... Upon finishing the update, I tried turning the device on and all that happened was the SanDisk logo appeared for a moment and then the screen went blank. Soft-resetting the device didn't help. I reconnected the device to my computer and saw the two drives (for internal and external memory) after switching to MSC mode. There was also a small blue object in the middle of the device's screen (like a 2D barcode). I clicked on both drives, but Windows Explorer said "Please insert a disk in drive [X:]." I tried formatting the drive for the internal memory, but it didn't work. Oddly enough, the firmware update utility was still open, so I ran it again. It said the device would need to be formatted, so I clicked the appropriate button to proceed, but then it came back with an error. המשך יבוא

I was thinking I would have to send the device back to SanDisk, but then I tried soft-resetting it while it was connected to my computer. <Edit>Actually, I did something else; see my next post.</Edit> After doing this, a "Found new hardware" window appeared and my computer said it had found an STMP3600. After selecting "Yes, this time only" and "Install the software automatically", my computer said it had installed a "Player Recovery Class". I tried running the firmware update utility (which was still open) again. It said it would have to format or erase the device, but this time it worked! Now my device is operational and has the latest firmware. Fortunately, I keep a copy of the device's Music folder on my PC, so copying back my music wasn't a problem. (I don't have any music crippled by DRM.) If your device is currently bricked, I hope this information helps you fix it. If you have closed the firmware update utility, you may have trouble getting it to reopen. In this case, I would suggest reading this thread and using the utility it refers to. If you have the same problem as I did, you may have to skip steps 2-6, which appear to involve mounting the device in MSC mode. Thomas Thank you thank you thank you!! I fixed mine like this aswell. I was sure it's dead becouse no one on this forum sugested anything that worked for me. Anythingbutipod.com didn't know what to do also. I performed the steps you suggested. 2 things: 1.
I was thinking I would have to send the device back to SanDisk, but then I tried soft-resetting it while it was connected to my computer. After doing this, a "Found new hardware" window appeared and my computer said it had found an STMP3600.
You didn't do this by soft reseteng. This is done by pluging the sansa to the comp while holding the (-)volume button. Maybe you've done this by accident.. 2. The installation of the "Player Recovery Class" didn't work for me becouse it simply didn't install anything and I had no clue what player recovery device class means so I googled it. Then I figured that you had drivers on your comp that mine was missing (are you using Vista? Do you have other players software installed on your comp?). So I googled for more info on the STMP3600 chip and found that the problem is not only with the SE player but with many other players that use the same chip. Like this one http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6035_102-0.html?forumID=71&threadID=266906&messageID=2601264 from the posts in there I figured that i need to download a firmware update tool for a different player that uses that sigmatel chip. So i downloaded from here http://www.maxfield.de/index.php?id=21&tx_maxproductslist_pi1[pro_uid]=127&L=1&no_cache=1 Installed it and I guess the Player recovery class was installed with it. Now after pluging the player in STMP3600 mode I was able to install driver for it. Then I oppened the Sansa updater using this download you suggested http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=express&thread.id=1143 And now it worked. It was able to reformat the SE and installed the firmware on it. So it works like a charm now. Thanks. EDIT: I uploaded the latest firmware here http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/32366/SE-rar.html so you don't have to use the old one when fixing the lil' monsta To summarize, here is the revised debricking procedure: (1) While holding down the Volume Down (-) button, connect the device to your computer. (2) If a "Found New Hardware" window appears for an STMP3600, let Windows connect to the Internet to find the "Player Recovery Class" driver automatically. If you can't do this, obtain the tool mentioned in Peyotero's post and repeat step (1). (3) Run the firmware update utility for the Sansa Express. http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=express&thread.id=1147&view=by_date_ascending&page=3
