David, Sweden did indeed change 'sides' from left to right in 1967. They could have not done that today, because of highways, flyovers,tunnels,junctions and the like. if you have a developed road infrastructure, it is almost impossible and very costly to change driving patterns. There are enough countries that do drive on the left- such as Japan, that would never change. As for trains; do not forget that most tracks can be constructed to be two way track, a practice common in the UK.The choice is to drive on the left, but there are many exceptions. regards Yoram
