An Interview with Edward A. Bernero source: 3rdwatch.net After last nights episode you could probably guess that Bobby Cannavale (Bobby Caffey) wants out of ´Third Watch´. He has decided to leave after this season and the producers have agreed to write him out by the end of this season. After a very dramatic episode last night (´The Shot´) Bobby was shot by his former best friend, Paulie. As it ended in a cliffhanger with Kim Zambrano (Kim Raver) was trying to save him. Here is what Mr. Edward A. Bernero had to say: Can you tell us why, after playing an excellent role for two seasons and being many fans favourite, he is leaving the show? We love and respect his work very much. Since our ensemble is so large, it was a mutual decision to allow him to move on to work his talents could be used more fully and on a more regular basis. We are all going to miss him dearly and wish him the very best. I´m sure you´ll all be seeing a lot of him. And do you have any plans to replace him, or was Amy Carlson the planned ´replacement´? Amy was never intended to replace anyone, only to give us another firefighter through which to tell stories. Her role won´t change and her joining our cast had nothing to do with Bobby. Did he want to leave? He did, so he was happy the writers arranged for his character to go out in a big way. His fans, it seems, did not agree. Cannavale, 29, says he´s been stopped on the streets in New York, where he lives, by Third Watchers who demand to know why his character had to die. The actor resurfaces Monday night on 100 Centre St., the A&E courthouse drama created and produced by Sidney Lumet -- Cannavale´s father-in-law and neighbor. Cannavale plays a lawyer on the show, which debuted last spring, so he spent some time in a real courthouse and learned that "judges and lawyers speak in code." He also has worked in a few Lumet movies, but his Third Watch job came from an earlier association -- on the short-lived drama Trinity, with creator John Wells, who went on to make Third Watch. He´s as ambitious as any young actor but says, "My main focus is to stay in New York." He loves the urban life he shares with wife Jenny, a drama teacher, and their 6-year-old son. "I haven´t had a job in L.A. yet," he says, as if that will last for long. בגלל ההודעה גרמת לי לעלות עוד פרטים... אז יאללה העלתי הפעם משהו מקורי! זוכרים את הפרק על כרטיס הלוטו? שכל השוטרים קנו כרטיס ואחרי איזה הלוויה שהייתה הל הלכו לפאב לצפות בהגרלה ובתחילת הפרק בוסקו זרק את הכרטיס שלו ואמר שהוא לא מאמין במזל ואז בסוף הפרק רואים אותו הולך כזה ואומר כזה בראש "מעניין... אולי הכרטיס שלי היה זוכה אולי בכל זאת לא הייתי צריך לזרוק אותו" אז הנה התסריט של כל הפרק!!! ויש לי עוד כאלה אבל בנתיים שמתי את התסריט של הפרק מה כל אחד עשה אמר מתי ולמי... מוקדש ל@יעל@ ;-D
