שאלה מעניינת

יפן היא מדינה עשירה עם רמת עוני נמוכה יחסית. בנוסף,יצא לכם לראות פעם קטעי הופעות מיפן? הקהל שם ממש בטירוף. חבר שלי שביקר שם סיפר לי שיש שם המווון פריקים. כל זה אולי מסביר קצת את העובדה שלהקות מוכרות שם טוב, השאלה למה באמת יש הוצאות מיוחדות של דיסקים שם? אולי חנופה לקהל?

הדיסקים ביפן מאוד יקרים אז כדי היפנים לא יתפתו לקנות דיסקים מיובאים, אז חברות התקליטים מוציאות את הדיסקים קודם או עם שירי בונוס (או שתי האופציות). Porcupine Tree - Up the Downstair

זה פשוט שיש שם המון אנשים... יש שם גם המווון ילדיות צווחניות שסוגדות ללהקות בנים... הם פשוט מאוד היסטריים שם...

אז למה לא לפרסם קודם באנגליה? (הם גרים שם לא?) חצמזה אני לא חושבת שדווקא ילדה צווחנית תקנה דיסק/תראה הופעה של רדיוהד

אני לא יודעת,, אבל ..

אם יצא לך לראות קטעי הופעות מיפן .. הקהל שם נורא משולהב. והקטע של סגידה, הערצה, איך שלא תקראי לזה, נורא מפותח שמה, לפי מה שהבנתי. והנה ראיון קטן עם ג´וני, בקשר ליפן בעיקר:

Raygun August 1996 Interview with Jonny Greenwood "it´s been pretty spectacular for us," admits jonny greenwood of oxford´s radiohead. "they even have a ´phil is great fanclub´ for our own phil selway. they´ve got a newsletter and badges, and a whole 12 members." so far, radiohead´s visited japan three magical times. "the first time we went there i thought it was a pale imitation of the west, from levis to drinks to everything else," greenwood says in a mellow, articulate voice. "but five years later all the clothes and designs have become much cooler, and now it´s really stylish place, much more together than the west. it´s the only country in the world where levis can sell new flares." though not a fashion plate himself, greenwood is a big fan of japanese sartorial chic. "all the clothes i wear are japanese, mostly from funky labels like milkboy and mighty atom." one japanese oddity that struck greenwood and radiohead was its overwhelming convenience. "one day we spent the entire time in our hotel. but we were busy: we did our concert on one floor, ate in the restaurant on the top floor. if we felt like it we could have played golf on the roof." the guitarist was so fascinated with the culture that he attempted to learn japanese. "in press conferences and on tv i used some japanese phrases, so the next day there were piles of ´learning japanese´ books waiting for me in the lobby!" which then brings up to the subject of Radiohead´s enthusiastic fans. "we found them very well researched and well-written. did you know that the oxford english dictionary sells more copies in japan than in america annually? they´re really perceptive; not the faceless mass everyone makes them out to be" though they could indulge their rock star alter-egos if they chose to, radiohead bucked the celebrity persona in japan, opting instead to mingle with their japanese fans. "there are usually 20 or 30 fans waiting in the lobby of our hotel, but rather than doing the rock star thing, we´d ask them to bring us somewhere good to eat; whoever was there we´d just go out to eat with." Of course, greenwood and his chiseled cheekbones meet his fair shar of, er, adoring females while in japan. "they´re not pushy; they´ll take photographs of me and japanese girls, pictures of myself with a stranger times a hundred." oddly enough, the band doesn´t encounter the same fans from trip to trip. many of their fans are young single women who perhaps feel the pressure to conform, grow up, and get married. "i´ll ask them, for example, "where´s keiko?" and they´ll say, ´oh, keiko doesn´t hang around with bands anymore.´ it´s a little sad." (taken from follow me around´s press &fans)​

קיד איי הובילה לדיון מעמיק על יפן? נחמד

וסתם עוד קטע קצר וממש לא קשור בקשר ליפנים: יש לנו בקיבוץ מסורת ארוכה עם העם היפני.יש אצלינו קבוצה של יפנים השייכים לקת המקויה,קת קטנה ומוזרה,והקבוצות מתחלפות מדי חצי שנה. בקיצור,הם האנשים הכי אדיבים וחביבים בעולם. אם היתה לי להקה גם אני הייתי מצ´פר אותם בהוצאות נדירות
