for r666

it is the same as italy and hungary and any other place in the world except for u.s.a and cannada. the m.d in medicine is 6 years total, while in most of the places it is 3 years para clinical and 3 years clinical,in romania u study 2 years intensive para clinical courses, and from the 3rd year you complete the para clinical courses along with clinical stuff. the studies are in english and in high level and intensity. after 6 years you need to pass exam in israel in order to get licence to do medicine in israel.(this exam must be done by each student that didnt study medicine in israel)after that you do 1 year staj and than continue to residency. in our school in romania they give much more time to practic and they give you to do stuff that you can not do in any other school in the world.for example:i m in my 1st year and today i did stiches to a patient,of course under the supervising of my proffesor. other schools in europe(like debrezen, hungary or else where)give much more attention to theory and you are doing less practic. good doctor is measured by his practical abilities .it is important to know the theory as well, but lets say that you need to have a good hands for being good doctor.and those good hands need to do procedures and not to hold only the book of anatomy. make your own choice. i recommand on romania.we are a lot of israelies here.it is a well known school all over the world. only one advice, no matter where you will study,go see it before .check everything(rent, university, the city) and only if it fits you,go for it. it is a long period.

thank you,med student,for making my

i m doing it as voluntiring in hospital . i m going 4 houres weekly to the universitar hospital ,doing shifts with my anatomy teacher that is a chirurg and he lets me do things. this exactly the difference i m speaking of, in any other place i would have start see hospital from the 4th year and do medical procedures only at residency or maybe in the staj. i have friends, israelies 4th year that assist as second hand in surguries. now, tell me as a med student, isnt it a hugh advantage ,this practical work,or not? where are you studing? maybe yo know the theory better than me ,but the theory is still written in books,in the end you should know how to perform medical procedures on the best way.and to gain experience from the first year is a hugh advantage ,specially in medicine. thank you for making my point brighter to the forum surfers.

well,u have some mistakes

i am studing in lithuania and we had patients since 3rd year, now in my 4th year i also assist in surgeries, but to do stiches is something you have to know. we took it now in operative surgery and now im quolified to do stiching, and its something you have to study before you do. but still we have amaising experiance with patients and great practice. but still its very nice u were experiencing it.

thank u

i have made stiches after training a lot on it.i do pratice from the second month of school. you will probably agree with me that it is very good for each doctor to do as much pracice as he can,and if you starts at first year it will become a big advantage in the future. i must agree with you that it was an amazing experience ,and inspite the fact i did some more stiching since than it keeps exciting me all the time.yesterday i studied to intubate ,didnt do it alone yet ,and some more clinical procedures that we only meet in advanced years. it is very exciting,it inspire you and motivate you ,because the first 2 years and part of the third are pretty general and not really medicine but more science.as you know of course. i found that practice sometimes do not depends absolutly on theoretical knowledge. so see you in few years in the hospitals halls in israel.
