ׂhow should i study?

I recently started studying playing the guitar and so far i´m doing it from a book.. Do u recommend studying from book/internet, private teacher or concervaturium? Is a private teacher a waste of money (teaching me what i can learn by myself)?

But look for one who knows what he´s doing- I mean somone that studied it, not just a high-schooler.

regarding teachers

I don´t think that it is good to take a teacher when you just begin Find a friend that plays the guitar , or friend of a friend etc .... Play with him for several times , and get the basic ideas from him In return , buy him/her a pizza , or something like that

After several months/years , and when you feel more serious about your playing , and you want to learn specific genres like blues or funk , rock , etc. look for a teacher . In overall , a lot of professional players consider themselfs as selfthought . Try also the net for amazing learning stuff - lessons , tablatures . You won´t find help in books - all beginner books stincks . So , find a friend and self the net . It´s the easiest and cheapest way .
