Traveling to Israel
Hi everyone, I'm not sure whether I'm in the right forum here, but I have a question. I own an Israeli passport and I live in Ireland. I'm about to go to Israel for a brief visit (a little over a week) next month (last time I was there was over a year ago). This time I'm bringing along my laptop (as hand baggage) and also some Guinness and other food from Ireland (not much) that my parents like in checked-in luggage. What I want to know is how I put these things through customs and whether I'd have trouble with them, as well as whether or not I'd need to pay fees to get them through. Note that it's not a direct flight as I'm stopping in Prague on my way from Dublin. I've never flown this way so I'm a bit anxious. Also I recently heard that bringing wrapped presents into Israel might not be the best idea as I will have to open them for security inspections. I need to know if that is true because I'm bringing Christmas presents with me as well (should have probably asked before I wrapped them…). Thanks a million for your time.
