Tarsh on a The Edge interviewed Joel via phone, because New Zealanders are cool like that so, since I have no life I transcripted it for y'll. Here it is. Dj: Joel Madden from Good Charlotte. G'day Joel how are you? J: Im good, how are you? Dj: Im good thank you. Listen I was just wondering if we could play a little game with you is that ok? J: Yeah thats fine. Dj: So im just gonna ask you a bunch of questions and all you have to say is yes or no. J: Ok. Dj: Ok... yes no game with Joel from Good Charlotte. Are you single? (You can hear Benji talking in the background...anyway..) J: Yes Dj: Do you consider yourself a celebrity? J:*Hesitant giggle* No. Dj: Have you ever told a girl that you would call her and didnt? J: Yes *While giggling* Dj: Is it true that your dating Hilary Duff? J: No! (Duh!?!) Dj: Have you ever left somewhere without paying the bill? J: Yes Dj: What bill was it and how much was it? J: Uh..it was probly like $20 at a restaurant, I was broke, no excuse, I apoligize. I shouldve paid for it somewhere down the line, but uh..yeah. I was hungry! Dj: Ok..have you ever dented someones car and not owned up to it? J: Yes Dj: REALLY?!? Do you know ruffly how much damage you did to the car? J: Probly like $1500 U.S. (Equivelant to about $3500 NZ Dollars) Dj: *Whistles* Ok...is there anything that your not good at? J: Yes! Dj: What arent you good at? J: What am I not good at? Where do I start? Uhh..I mean, we could start with Sports, or we could start with uh...Painting, or we could start with Math...or uhh, you know...lying!...im not very good at lying. Dj: Ok thats a really...thats a good thing not to be good at! J: Yeah, sometimes. Dj: Yeah, uh..ok. Are you scared of the dark? J: Hmm...sometimes. Dj: Ok its yes or no. J: Umm..No. (LIAR!!) Dj: Ok, have you ever had your heart broken? J: Yes Dj: Have you ever driven while under the influence of alcohol? J: Yes. (Shakes her head in shame..NAUGHTY JOEL!) Dj: *Gasps* Umm...do you get lots of free stuff Joel? J: *Laughs* Yes Dj: Whats the coolest free thing youve got? J: A diamond watch. Dj: Wow who gave you that? J: This company, this watch company gave me a diamond watch to wear like on red carpets and stuff. And its like crazy big ass diamond watch. If anyone asks I paid for it. Dj: *Giggles* Ok, do you know how much the watch is worth? J: Like $8000 Dj: Wow thats alot of money to wear on your wrist huh? J: Yeah Dj: So uhh...have you ever been arrested? J: Yes Dj: Have you ever pretended to be Benji? J: Yes Dj: What did you get arrested for? J: Assult Dj: Ok now...have you ever used your celebrity status just to get into something for free? J: Of course. Dj: Umm..have you ever eaten anything out of the rubbish bin? J: Yes Dj: Ever stolen anything from your hotel room? J: Yes Dj: Uh..what did you take? J: Bathrobes Dj: Uh..do you think you understand women Joel? J: *Cockily* Of Course! Dj: And finally are you glad this is the last question? J: Yes Dj: Great...survived, survived, sorry about that, well be right back with Joel Madden from Good Charlotte... *I Just Wanna Live Plays* Dj: Thats Good Charlotte I just wanna live from The Chronicles of Life And Death. And the video to that song Joel, uhh...I mean, it looks so much fun, you guys are running around in like this kinda pretend boyband. J: Its was really funny, like we were laughing the whole time at ourselves. Dj: And your dressed up as your favourite food right? J: Pizza. Dj: Last time you were here you mentioned something about that youd love to buy a farm for your mum, hows your mum getting on? J: umm, my moms doing good shes um, very excited about xmas, because we get to all be together so shes really happy. And uhh..shes you know. I talk to her everyday so shes, you know my moms good..you know. Dj: Do you have a job to do on xmas day Joel like do you have a task you have to do? J: With me..im the one who usually like gets everyone going like alright now we should do the presents, ok now we should have dinner at this time like I organize everything like my mom will make dinner but like..and then I, im usually the one figuring out like what everyones gonna do like maybe we'll go to the movies that night or something...you know I dont know like, im usually the one like in charge of everything. Dj: Whats one thing that you'll hope youll get for xmas? J: Well theres this umm..I was at the store the other day and I saw this chair thats like a massage chair like its electric and its automatic like, you just sit in it and it like massages you, its pretty crazy. (Oh yes..crazycrazy!) I think thats what I want. Dj: Yeah, id like one of those. Thatll be great! J: Yeah, its pretty cool. Dj: Now I know that your on your way to do a show, and I know you mustve done so many media interviews so I really really appreciate your time today, umm. J: I appreciate your time..thank you. Dj: And on behalf of everybody who listens to The Edge and who loves Good Charlotte were really looking forward to seeing you in february so Have a great Xmas and New Year and we'll see you in February.
