The Blues - REAL BAD!
I'm not ashamed of my past. I have been victimized and I'm not afraid to say it. If you're asking what I'm doing here – I'm just looking to vent, looking for a blank page to pour my soul into. You're born into this world and then you spend the next 20 years trying to figure it out. Superman's tried that before. He failed. They say men weren't meant to ride with clouds between their knees, yet they always spur you into taking the plunge, "be a man", let go. I am what I am and what I am is who I am. I like to be who I am. I never want to be someone else. If only what was done could be turned into a blank, white page… I'd do it differently! I swear I would! I should be the happiest: Things are finally working out for me! I'm right there with the rest of them, yet being surrounded by a bunch of crowd applauding you, doesn't mean you like the game you have so meticulously been programmed to play. It's like so many layers of social programming have been incorporated into your brain, you no longer even know where you end and where the world's scheme of making you who they want you to be begins. So, I'm here, on the verge of turning old, just two more days, that's it and… I've made such a progress! Oh, man! You wouldn't believe the progress I've made! I've turned into one of them! I'm one step closer to becoming their identical! And they've maneuvered it so beautifully! They've done such a great job! I mean, you're making the money you're supposed to me making, you go about your day, taking care of all sorts of responsibilities, you IT! You're what they expect you to be! A GREAT SUCCESS, UH?! And you? – You don't even know who you are anymore… You used to have all those principles, you used to believe it could all change! The funny thing is that you're sitting, writing all of this stuff, knowing you must be out of your mind, but by whose standards?! – THEIRS! So, which is it? – Are you out of your mind (by their standards, beautifully intertwined in your brain cells), or are you the sweetest most misunderstood person on the planet? (by crazy Ronnie standards). WHICH IS IT?! Fuck!!! Fuccccck!!!!!!
