Sending SMS through email – tricky

I will appreciate it very much if you can help me here. It is maybe long question, but I tried to fill many details as possible. First – the reason: In our company we set an email address and the idea that whenever someone send email to this address it will forward them to a list of mobile numbers as an SMS. Lets say that the mailbox that I created for this purpose is: tal@somewhere. (A further explanation: it is possible to identify some email accounts so when you send from this email accounts to address [email protected] , the mobile xxx-xxxxxxx will get this email as an sms). The problem: tal@somewhere should forward these emails automatically. The thing is that in sms message allows you to write only 160 characters. My solutions, the problems with my solution and my questions: 1. in the mailbox tal@somewhere I set a rule: forward each message that arrive to a distribution list! Perfect!! The problem: he forward the message with the forwarding headers (to, from, subject), and that takes most of the 160 characters available! So no one can see the message itself! Question: is there anyway in outlook 2000\xp to prevent the appearance of these headers when forwarding emails? 2. on the exchange server I set automatic forwarding to a distribution list. The problem is that the sender address in this case is not defined as tal@somewhere , but as the original sender. That means that no sms can be sent – because the original sender is not subscribed to this service. ( Only sms that are being sent from email address that was subscribed to the service – like tal@somewhere can send emails as an sms). This is a bypass for the headers problem at item 1, but again – it cannot work in case that the original sender is not subscribed to this service. Is there any way to bypass this problem – means to define on the server that the original sender is tal@somewhere? Can anyone please help me here? Do you have any other ideas? Maybe programming a script and run it whenever emails are getting to the [email protected] - to forward them without the headers? Gmar Hatima Tova! Tal
