renewing visa procedure in thailand from korat forum....

=i thought this would amuse people: taken from korat forum for farang (foreingners in thailand with thai wives)..
this is the immigration office in korat province, in the middle of isaan thailand.....
"
Anyone intending to update their visa in the next couple weeks at the local immigration office. Go in the morning or you will not make the queue. The place has been packed for days. It took me 5 days just to hand in the paperwork.
Day 1: Walked in at 1:30p.m. "Only the queue, go home."
Day 2: "You need 21 days left on your visa, we'll make a 30 day stamp for you today." Then can I hand in the paperwork? "No, come back Monday at 10:30 and we'll see you." (This also caused the statement I had to make for the Non-Imm O to be invalid, as it has to be made the day you turn in the paperwork for the visa).
Day 3,4: Weekend... I know, I'm whinging at this point, but I just want it done at this stage and having to stew over the weekend didn't help.
Day 5: Monday 10:30a.m. "Oh, the girl who makes appointments isn't here, get in the queue, come back in the afternoon." Finally at 1:30p.m. they take our paperwork, we draw a map to our house, and are done in 8 minutes. Seriously, 8 minutes...
Total time wasted driving: 3 hours
Total time wasted waiting for stuff: 11 hours
Actual time to hand in paperwork: 8 minutes

"Something isn't right here.

so its not just here.
