Remote Desktop Connection

hey guys, i tried every direction. i have a client pc using win2k, trying to access a win2k server using remote deskop. only this client is having trouble, so it's not the server. the client is using Remote Desktop Connection to connect this server, recieves "unknown network error", while pinging this server gets reply.. the RDC used to work until... i donnow any ideas?

perhaps there is a firewall

in between blocking the communication? the port for remote desktop is 3389 (the firewall could be responding to ICMP and yet not to Remote desktop)

i don't think so, cuz there is no trouble connecting this server through other computers on the same network
