PH vs F

1. What is the different between "PH" and ""F? Do both of them pronounced the same? 2. Is the common way to spell the Hebrew name OFIR in English is Ophir?

Answers

1) There is no difference is pronunciation. You could spell words like "elephant" or "phone" with an F and it wouldn't change the way you read them (it WOULD make the spelling incorrect, however...) 2) "Ofir" is better. BTW, I'm not completely sure about this, but I think the letters "ph" are used in words that come from Greek or Latin.​
