NO. 21/2011 Dredging operations in Ashdod Port and Ashdod area Thursday, 09 June 2011 09:39 Subject: Dredging operations in Ashdod Port and Ashdod area. Charts affected: Survey of Israel, charts no. 323 & 23. B.A., chart no. 1591 This is to advise all mariners that the: Suction Hopper dredger trailing "Edit Simi" will be engaged in dredging operations within Ashdod Harbour and Ashdod area. The dredger is scheduled to operate in the Ashdod Harbour pond until mid August 2011 and to move to the area stretched from south, end of breakwater, up to the Blue Marina, in a strip stretch, 500 m. to 800 m., west of the coast. The dredger will eject the sand north of Ashdod Port, up till Palmachim (Latitude 31° 56, 03' N) 100 m, from the coast line. Works are scheduled to finish end of September 2011. All vessels are requested to keep clear from the "Edit Simi".
