The "Are You Happy Now" singer tells dotmusic.com that contrary to reports, she has no beef with Avril Lavigne. Branch says, "You know, we are friends. I called her when her record came out and told her I loved it. She's really a sweet girl and it'll be interesting to see which path her career takes especially now she's working on her second album and I'm on my third." She adds, "It'll be interesting to see how we all turn out." Lavigne gave an interview in February in which she said that Branch looks like another pop star, Vanessa Carlton. "They both look alike. It's weird actually," said Lavigne. Branch has sold more than 180,000 of latest album Hotel Paper during its first two weeks on the shelf, and 2001's Spirit Room has sold more than 1.8 million copies since its release. Lavigne's Let Go has shipped more than 5.5 million in its first year of release.
