Little question – a/an

What is more correct? 1. Open a Topman store in Israel. 2. Open an Topman store in Israel. At first I thought that the first option is correct, but after I asked some friends of mine, they said that "Open *an* Topman..." sounds a lot better... So please help me here

That's right

... which is percisely why you say "a history", rather than "an". The thing about words that begin with a silent H, like "honor", "honesty", "heir", etc., is that because you cannot hear the consonant, it sounds as if it were a word that starts with a vowel, and so it is treated like such.
