Kylie plans comeback - כתבה מהסאן
KYLIE MINOGUE has issued a rousing message to her fans – she WILL record a new album next year. The pop princess has turned a corner in her battle against breast cancer with the end of her chemotherapy. And she hasn’t wasted any time in getting her career back on track. She called a meeting with bosses at Parlophone Records in London last week and told them she wants to be back in the studio by next summer. And she asked them to find her the best songs to make sure she can storm back into the charts with her best collection of tunes to date. She also hopes to tour late next year and wants to headline the Glastonbury Festival in June 2007 after being forced to cancel this year’s appearance because of her illness. A record company insider told me: “She came into the office for the meeting. Everyone assumed things would be kept on the back burner while she recovers and regains full strength. "But Kylie wasn’t in the mood for sympathy — she has no plans to rest up. "She made it absolutely clear that she wants her A&R team to find the best songs for 2006. She wants to be the priority artist of next year. "Kylie has scheduled to be recording by the summer and wants to release a new album by the end of the year. "She hopes to tour with the songs then she is determined to play Glastonbury the next summer." Now her chemo has finished, friends say Kylie is starting to get her energy back and is eating well. Last week she felt well enough to make the trip to the UK. She flew into a private airfield near London to meet friends and used the chance to have the important meeting with record bosses. Yesterday she was due to visit specialists at the world-renowned Gustave-Roussy Hospital in Paris to get her latest prognosis and results. Kylie is expected to stay in France for Christmas with her actor boyfriend OLIVIER MARTINEZ.
