international supermarkets
I've had it. Canada is probably going to tell me I have no life once again, but then again, what the heck. Yesterday, after three whole days in Wroclaw, I finally got back to Berlin. The thing was that I did have to go and do some shopping (food, basically) before getting back here. The only problem was that just for once I felt like buying stuff in a real Polish supermarket. It soon became clear that this was no easy task. Like any other country in Middle-Eastern Europe, Poland has been taken over by west european concerns and supermarkets. All of the suburbs are filled with carrefour, intermarché (France), Lidl, Kaiser, Aldi, Mini Mal (Germany), Tesco, etc. Felt odd doing shopping in Lidl all over Europe. At least I have my Vivo in sthlm... what are your favourite supermarkets then?
